I had the chance to shoot some photos and videos of my father-in-law’s 58th birthday celebration last January. Actually it was a double celebration of his birthday and their (w/ mother-in-law) wedding anniversary. It was a late celebration ’cause we only can visit them a week later the actual date. The Nikon 50mm f1.4G still have a special place in my heart but the 85mm beats it in may ways. My only gripe is that the auto focus is hit and miss specially on low-light. The Nikon 70-200mm F2.8G VRII is is the winner in terms of focus but the 85mm is darn bokehlicious!!! Continue reading
