I have missed the first time Funeral For A Friend came to Singapore and sadly this will be the first and last show I’m gonna see them live or ever. This Last Chance To Dance Tour is a farewell show to all the fans. A lot of member changes didn’t stop FFAF to lose their mojo but after longtime guitarist Darren Smith left there is no way telling if FFAF is really back on track. Music wise the sound have change from the screamo, post-hardcore and melodic style that we loved and adore to the more fast hardcore, metalcore style that they’re trying to achieve. And achieved they did. There are no bad album FFAF makes and I’m not just saying that because of blind fandom but because it’s a fact – These guys makes music from the heart and it resonates on every song. Sick Of It All – Step Down (Footage from Asian Tour 2015 SG)
After 7 years SOIA came back to the Little Red Dot City to conquer the hearts of all hardcore fans. It was sweet, it was nostalgic, it was brutal. With hardcore bands like King Ly Chee (HKHC) and Straight Forward (LCHC) you’ll never go wrong, top it up with Oi punk/punk rock bands like The Bois and Iman’s League the energy just keeps on over flowing.
KOMYSB2015 is an annual event sponsored by the Royal Family of Alor Setar Kedah Malaysia. This event became popular to nearby countries including Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and also Japan, not because of the generous prizes but because of the camaraderie and for charity. There are sporting events like netball and street soccer, they also include cultural awareness, singing and declamation contest but the most favorite of the crowd were the extreme sporting activities like BMX stunt, BMX flatland, aggressive inline skates and wall climbing. The skate park is definitely the highlight of the event, it is one of the best skate parks in Southeast Asia. The good thing about this event is that all proceed goes to charity that helps unfortunate youths with financial problems and at the same time engaging them to a more progressive way of spending their talents and hobbies. I always turn down last minute video and photo of events more so for weddings. A wedding is an important part of a couple’s life so it’s a bit tricky not to mess it up for the clients, that’s why I don’t accept a last-minute wedding shoot. My wife talked me into it and we did made through the event without any fuss, besides I love shooting weddings, telling their love story even on a brief moment is magical not just for the couple but for me and for others as well. This is not your typical church wedding or garden wedding, it’s has a more humble set-up than we usually see on videos and films. I’m still happy we’ve done it, and even in a very short notice we manage to pull it off. Hope you like this simple wedding video. If you like what you see, please do follow my work , like, subscribe or comment. Cheers!
Words can’t express what I felt when I first saw her on the nursery window. It’s a different feeling when I had my first child. This time it’s more like at ease, maybe because being a father for the first time is a bit terrifying in a sense, ’cause who knows about parenting and I never been one. I know it’s a pain according to my Mum (sometimes, I know she’s just kidding) so having a 2nd child seems like having my next roller coaster ride, I already knew what to expect, well it’s not as simple as that but you get the riff. I always wanted to try a newborn photo shoot but never had the chance. I had some request but I’m always reluctant to do it on someone’s baby, feels like they’re too vulnerable for stuff like that, although I have seen some photographers doing some over the top poses to the new born babies, and seem like the little one can handle it. An expert told me that the bone of a newborn is more flexible than of a, let say a 4 year old child. Still feels like child exploitation to me, maybe I’m just worried how a baby can handle those poses with their soft fluffy arms and legs, then I realized that all those poses are natural poses, they’re not like something only a contortionist can do, but still a lot of responsibility and care must be present to this kind of project. My wife is really excited on doing this project and she had bought the baskets we used for this photo session. We also shop for the most comfy hypo-allergenic towels we can find, we all know that babies are prone to allergic reaction to almost anything. So there you go, our simple newborn photo project of our 2nd baby Kailin. Hope you like it and hope she likes it as well. We love you Kailin Jei and this is for you. Continue reading →
Prenatal Photography – Baby Kailin’s First Ultrasound
Me and my wife didn’t know that she’s with child until last December, and it’s already been 3 months. Despite all the very physical photo/video projects that we did together (since September) I was amazed that she and the baby were fine. She also didn’t suspected it ’cause she always had an irregular monthly cycle (I won’t elaborate) and everything seems normal. We already decided what name to give her, Kailin – old Celtic name meaning Keeper of Keys and pure; and Jei – open-mindedness, traveler and one that craves for knowledge (like Mum and Dad), together it’s Kailin Jei (sounds very Asian, hehe), I guess we’ll just call her Kai for short. We’re all excited to meet the new member of the family. All the routine check-ups show that all vital was A-Okayand we’re just thankful that we’re having a new baby. Hope you enjoy the photos. Can’t wait to see HER. Cheers!
